Psychological Theory Analysis in Pretty Little Liars

I the television show we can see that someone learns about psychology by evaluating the girls, what they do, how they do things. Whether its in school, out of school, emotionally, and physically. In this television show we also learn about the workings of their minds and their behavior. From this we know that Spencer is highly intelligent, and over-achiever, extremely wealthy who also is a very critical thinker. Aria is artsy, alternative, more of an observer, she doesn’t try to be in the middle of things but just tries to analyze everything. Emily is caring, sweet, and loyal, the strength, we can tell that she is very brave and a risk taker. Hanna is more generous, kind outspoken, sassy, and she is boldest out of the four girls.

The problems that they have which are also inside the unconscious are, problems from when they were kids, physical and mental abuse from “A”, and trauma from being kidnapped and held captive for over 3 months. These things affect everything they do. For example, they’re much more aware of their surroundings, they lie more but somehow more effectively. I don’t think the girls know that their problems that they experience now come from their past and  unconscious mind.

Desires are an aspect of this television show represented through dreams, both desires and nightmares, when the girls dream about their desires they somehow become taken from them as dreams and given to them as nightmare which come true. That in some way represent their past, which leads to their future problems which also takes us back to the problems and trauma they still experience in their unconscious minds.

Todayś exhausted super kids

I agree with this, that students need more sleep, because kids in high school today have so much to handle at once. They have tons of homework for every class, some have jobs, extra curricular activities, and they things they have to do at home, and on top of all of that they do have a social life. Some high schoolers stay up very late just so they can complete at least some of the homework they have been given by the many teachers they see everyday.  I think being sleep deprived isnt helping the situation at all. This just makes them become lazy and fall behind just to stay up late other night to finish what they need to catch up on. If high schoolers got enough sleep I believe that they would be more energized and be on top of most of their wrok.

Pretty Ugly

For SSR I am reading a book called Pretty Ugly, this book is about a girl named Jamee  a freshman at Bluford High School who is aiming to become a cheerleader but is struggling with her grades in Algebra. Ever since Jamee started going to Bluford and even before, everyone has been comparing Jamee to her older sister Darcy. Darcy is a straight A student and always strives to do her best in everything she does. Jamee thinks that if she makes the cheer leading team that’ll be just one thing Darcy couldn’t do, one thing that can’t compare Jamee and Darcy. Lately, Jamee has seen Vanessa a junior and her friends, bullying a girl named Angel. Angel is also a freshman at Bluford High school and she used to go to an all girls private school before going to Bluford. Angel and Vanessa are both auditioning to be cheerleaders and Vanessa picks on Angel because she isn’t as pretty as Vanessa and her friends. When Jamee starts to stick up for Angel, Vanessa and her friends target Jamee and starts rumors about Jamee and tells everyone is school.
